Resolution
Resolution:
- Please review the database permissions to ensure the SolarWinds service account has access to all necessary objects. (Coordinate this with your DBA)
- Verify Database Roles and Permissions: Your SA account should be a DB owner account
The service account typically needs the db_owner role on the SolarWinds database to ensure full access.
You can check this in the "User Mapping" section by confirming the db_owner role is checked for the database.
Alternatively, query the database permissions using T-SQL to list the roles and permissions assigned to the user.
Test Access:
Use the service account credentials to directly connect to the database or run test queries to confirm it can access required tables, views, and stored procedures.
Run the SolarWinds Configuration Wizard to ensure all database schema updates are applied correctly.
Note: Before running the Configuration Wizard, ensure you have a server snapshot and back up your database.
Restart all services using the SolarWinds Platform Service Manager
