Follow these steps to run automated tests that compare custom property data in the SolarWinds Information Services (SWIS) data access layer with custom property data in the Orion database.
-
Log in to your primary Orion server as an administrator.
-
Back up the SolarWinds Orion database using SQL Server Management Studio.
-
In File Explorer, navigate to the SolarWinds installation directory. (The default is C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion.)
-
Open the Active Diagnostics folder and run SolarWinds.Orion.ActiveDiagnostics.exe.
-
When the Active Diagnostics utility opens, select "Run individual tests".
-
Expand the "Orion Database health" option, and then click the following options to add them to the right panel. (If these options do not appear, you may need to run the Active Diagnostics Self-Check tests first.)

Click Run All to run tests that compare the two database tables: SWIS and SQL. Details about any discrepancies will appear in the right pane, with test results. To investigate, you can use the Database Manager utility to view the SolarWinds Orion database

Use the Orion Service Manager to restart the SolarWinds Information Service. See Shutdown and restart Orion services.
You should now be able to recreate the custom property. If issues continue, contact Support or consider clearing the Information Service Subscription. See How to Clear Information Service Subscriptions in Orion Products.
