Not able see newly created custom property in Orion web console

Overview

You have created new Custom Properties in Solarwinds Orion web console and got a message the property is created and you can see it under custom properties. However when you go back to use the Customer property in for example Group management etc the custom property is not visible in the list.

Cause

Exact cause is unknown but Most likely due to DB Sync delays

Resolution

1. Check for any DB sync issues for any pollers - especially main poller from All settings > Polling Engines > Last DB sync time
2. Restart the Orion Services on the Main poller and the Polling engine that is showing Last DB sync in Red.
3. If that does not help Shutdown Solarwinds Server(s) > Shutdown the Orion DB SQL server > Reboot the SQL server > Restart the Orion Server(s) in the order.
4. If issue still persists after server restart then follow this KB article below for troubleshooting Database Maintenance Overdue.
