Upgrade SolarWinds Platform modules on Additional Polling Engines and Additional Web Servers

Resolution

IMPORTANT: Before you do any work on your database, make sure you have a current backup. The following steps will make a permanent change to your database.  
 

  1. Download the installer files from the Customer Portal or through direct links.
  2. Copy the installer files to the corresponding servers.
  3. Stop the SolarWinds Platform services.
  4. Double-click the installer to upgrade the modules on the Main Polling Engine.
  5. Repeat this step for all modules you are upgrading. 
  6. Run the Configuration wizard.
  7. If Steps 3 and 4 are successful, repeat them on each Additional Polling Engine using the Additional Polling Engine installer file.
  8. Double-click the WebOnly installer and upgrade NPM on the Additional Web Server.
  9. Run the Configuration wizard and select the Web option.
  10. Start the SolarWinds Platform services.
  11. Verify that your SolarWinds Platform applications are upgraded to the newer version.
