The Patch Manager SCCM Extension Pack includes the following features:

Fast diagnosis and quick repair for issues on Configuration Manager clients enterprise-wide through one interface.
Enhanced collection views and client health views.
Access to real-time management data across all IT environments including enterprise-wide summaries, graphs, and other statistics.
Diagnoses and repairs Windows Update Agents and WMI enterprise-wide.
Deploys and manages patches for third-party applications using Configuration Manager without the need for scripting or SCUP.
Receives automatic notifications via email and “Outlook style” pop-up alerts when new patches for frequently used applications are announced by vendors.
Includes Patch Manager's PackageBoot™ Technology that creates advanced deployment scenarios such as start/stop services, bundle multiple files in one package, or to run uninstalls and custom scripts.
Manages software updates in real-time including immediate update scans and installs, and no remote desktop is needed.
