Patch Manager Extension Pack features

Overview
When you install and configure Patch Manager, you are prompted to install the WSUS or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) extension packs. You can run both extension packs in a WSUS or SCCM installation.
This article describes the features included with each extension pack.

Extension Pack Features
When you install Patch Manager, you are prompted to select one or both extension packs. The following table lists the features included with each extension pack.

The following WSUS Extension Pack features are sometimes useful in SCCM environments:
- The Update Management and Update Management Wizard tasks
- Inventory task
- WSUS Reports in the Administration and Reporting > Reporting node
The WMI Maintenance and Repair task in the SCCM Extension Pack can be helpful in a WSUS environment.
Add an Extension Pack
- Open the Patch Manager/EminentWare console.
- In the navigation pane, select EminentWare System Configuration.
- In the center pane, click Select Products and Features.
- Select the Extension Packs you want, and then click Continue.
- To refresh your options in the Actions pane (right), click Refresh at the top of the Actions pane.
To refresh your options in the Navigation pane (left), restart the Patch Manager/EminentWare console.
