Orion Web Console performance is slow when debug logging and hubble is enabled

This article provides a resolution when the Orion Web console Performance is slow when debug logging and hubble is enabled.

Overview

After enabling DEBUG logging for SWIS and enabling Hubble to investigate issues, the web console is seen to be slow. For example, the manage nodes page can take 30 - 60 seconds to load.

Cause

The load of writing DEBUG logs to the log files reduces the performance of the web console. These logs grow very quickly with DEBUG logging enabled.

Resolution

- Use LogAdjuster to reset logging to default. More information is available here.

- Disable the orion hubble.
