Cause
The server has run out of memory. If the amount of memory is at the absolute minimum requirements or below, the W3SVC.exe service (IIS World Wide Web Publishing Service) can crash and cause the website to go down.
Resolution
- How to Start, Stop, or Restart SolarWinds Services with the SolarWinds Service Manager in the SolarWinds Platform
- Restart the W3SVC.exe service.
- The website should come back up, but this error will persist and come back up intermittently until step 4 is followed.
- Add more memory to the server.
