Dameware MRC user is on view only mode during a remote session
A situation where the Dameware user can connect to the remote target machine but cannot control it.

Cause
- Neither of the Windows user account is used to establish the connection and the account on the target remote machine are part of any administrator group
- 3rd party remote viewer software like GoToMyPC has established connection to the remote machine before the MRC connection
Resolution
- Administrators
- Power Users
- Server Operators
- Account Operators
- Backup Operators
- Print Operators
- Open Dameware MRC.
- Click View menu, select default host properties.
- Go to Install option, click Configure.
- Go to the access tab, uncheck the box “View only for these account types”.
- Click OK, then OK.
- Click File menu, select remove service
- Enter the target machine hostname or IP address, click OK.
- Click File menu, select install service.
- Enter the target machine hostname or IP address, click OK.
- Reconnect to the target machine.
- Log in to the remote computer using the admin account.
- Go to the Dameware MRC agent tray icon (lower-right corner of the screen).
- Right-click the MRC agent tray, click Settings.
- Select the Access tab.
- Deselect the following options, then click OK.
- Permission required for these account types
- Disconnect if any at the Logon Desktop
- View Only for these account types

Install the Dameware Mini Remote Control (DMRC) client Agent Service and remove the MRC Agent Service
