Overview

Customer wants to know how to change nodes names (how the node is presented on the SolarWinds Platform Web Console) on multiple nodes since changing it one by one is slow and tedious.

*Currently in the SolarWinds Platform, there is no option on the web console to change node names on multiple nodes.

The workaround involves running a SQL query on the SolarWinds Platform database, which is not part of the SolarWinds Platform application, which is why we have limited support since it involves custom SQL queries on the SQL database.

If you need the Multiple edit node names feature, The best way to proceed though would be for a feature request: Submit a feature request for Solarwinds Products
