Asset Inventory not working correctly with SAM
Asset inventory not working correctly with SAM, with a large number of WMI nodes on a single poller.

Overview
If you exceed recommended scalability guidelines (for example, over 2100 WMI nodes on one polling engine), the Asset Inventory polling may not function correctly.
Product section
Cause
There is a limit to the number of WMI nodes that can be monitored on a single polling engine.
Polling uses less than 100 KB of database space per node. For an environment with 1,000 servers, that translates to just under 100 MB of disk space.
Resolution
If you have exceed the recommended limits for WMI nodes on a single polling engine, add one or more Additional Polling Engines (APEs). To learn more, see the Scalability Guidelines for SolarWinds products.
Another option is to adjust the default polling interval for the Asset Inventory feature. Generally, Asset Inventory data does not need to be collected with the same degree of regularity as status information because data doesn't change often.
