Apply a Kiwi Log Viewer license

Overview

Kiwi Log Viewer is an easy tool that displays logs in a clear, readable format, letting you track changes to log files in real time. It saves memory by only reading small sections of the file at a time, making it possible to view large files that wouldn't fit in memory.

The license details of the Kiwi Log Viewer license can be obtained from the customer portal.

Follow the below steps to register the license:

Gather the License Key Information

  1. Log into your Customer Portal
  2. Navigate to Licenses tab and look for the Log Viewer license.  
  3. Click on Retrieve your License Key Information
  4.  Use CTRL+ C to copy the whole information text, including # signs.

Register License

  1. Open Kiwi Log Viewer license.
  2. Select Enter registration details from the Help menu.
  3. Press the Register button to complete the process.

 

To activate the KLV 2026.1 license:

  1. Open the Kiwi Log Viewer Console.
  2. Select Activate License.
  3. Enter your license details.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Activate.

 

To activate the license offline:

  1. Log in to your customer portal using your SolarWinds User ID or Individual User account and password.
  2. Navigate to the Licenses tab and select Manage Licenses. Scroll down and click the + icon beside the product you want to activate. You will find your activation key there.
  3. Select Activate license manually.
    • This option is useful for installing SolarWinds software on systems without internet access or those behind a proxy or firewall.
  4. Complete the required fields, and a new key will be sent to your email.
    • (Note: Enter your phone number using digits only—no dashes or special characters.)

 

To locate your Unique Machine ID:

  1. Install the SolarWinds product on the target machine.
  2. Open the application and click Enter Licensing Information.
  3. Choose This server does not have internet access. Guide me through offline, manual activation, then click Next.
  4. Click Copy Unique Machine ID to copy it to your clipboard.
