Primary or Additional Polling Engine is polling a deleted node in the Orion Platform
This article addresses an issue that causes either the Main Polling Engine or an Additional Polling Engine (APE) to poll a deleted node.

Overview
After you delete a node and generate a WinPcap or Wireshark log, the log states that the Orion server polled information on the deleted node. The Orion Web Console does not display the deleted node.

Clear the Cache
- Stop Orion services, as described in Start and stop Orion services.
- Repair the services on the following systems.
- Orion servers
- Additional Polling Engines
- Additional Web Servers
- Open the SolarWinds Orion Database Manager.
- Click Add default server.
- Right-click Orion Database and select New Query.
- Enter the following queries:

- Click Execute query.
- Start and stop Orion services on the following systems:
- Orion servers
- Additional Polling Engines
- Additional Web Servers
- On the Orion server, navigate to:
C:\ProgramData\SolarwWinds\Installers - Locate the following .msi(s) (double-click or right-click to uninstall and reinstall):
- Jobengine (does not exist in newer versions of Orion)
- Jobenginev2 (file will begin with JOBENGINE) Latest modified file
- Collector (file will begin with COLLECTOR) Latest modified file
- Uninstall these services.
- When finished, reinstall these services.
- Run the Orion Configuration Wizard to refresh Orion files.
