Status 400 config method POST" transform Request website error when using a load balancer in the Orion or SolarWinds Platform

Web logs show this error: ERROR ASP.global_asax - (null)  XSRF token in header does not match (). ERROR SolarWinds.Orion.Web.Services.ResourcePickerWebServices - (null)  Unexpected error ocurred during prebuilding resources cache. System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 10.x.x.x:80 at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.DoConnect(EndPoint endPointSnapshot, SocketAddress socketAddress)

Cause

Incorrect load balancer setup. 

Resolution

A few things may resolve this issue:

  1. Change the application profile on the load balancer.
  2. Uncheck cookie-related options as shown in the image below. If the web server was changed or rebuilt, this can especially help.
