Cause
The Windows AD account is a member of a Group AD account on SolarWinds Account as well and the group account does not have any Admin Rights.
Resolution
- Log in to your AD server.
- Check all the Groups created on User Accounts on the Orion Web Console.
- Check if the account in question is a member of it.
- Go to the Web Console > User Accounts Group Accounts, and verify if that group has full admin.
- if it does not, choose if you will put that Group Account to Admin or remove the Account to that Group on your AD.
- Log in back to network atlas.
- NOTE: Depending on the customer environment, using USERNAME@DOMAIN.COM may not work depending on their Active Directory functional level. If this is the case, have the customer try DOMAIN\USERNAME, the NetBIOS version of an AD logon, and it usually will work correctly.
- If issue persists, test: DOMAIN\USERNAME, but validate how is listed under Orion Web console > Setting>All Settings > Manage Accounts. and type account as is listed, and is case sensitive, as listed on Orion Manage Accounts
