Cause

The Windows AD account is also a member of a Group AD account on the SolarWinds account, but that account does not have any Admin Rights.

Resolution

  1. Log into your AD server.
  2. Check all the Groups created on User Accounts on the Orion Web Console.
  3. Check if the account in question is a member of it.
  4. In the Orion Web Console, navigate Settings > All Settings > Manage Accounts, and then click the Groups tab.
  5. Verify that the group account has full admin rights. Adjust, if necessary.
  6. Log out of the Orion Web Console, then log back in and navigate to Network Atlas.

Note: Depending on your environment, logging in with USERNAME@DOMAIN.COM may not work depending on your AD configuration. If so, try using the down-level logon name format that specifies the NetBIOS domain name for the AD logon, NetBIOS DOMAIN NAME\USERNAME.
