Overview

This article provides an overview of devices that support wireless heat maps in Network Performance Monitor (NPM) as well as the OIDs that are used for creating heat maps.

Resolution

NPM currently supports only Cisco controllers for wireless heat maps: Cisco 2500, 5500, 7500 that support CleanAir OIDs.

Root OID: bsnMobileStationRssiDataTable:: 1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.1.11.

We also need responses from all the APs on the following OIDs for it to poll correctly.

OID APIfAbsolutePowerList (1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.2.2.1.22)
OID APIfPhyTxPowerLevel (1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.2.2.1.6)
