When adding a node polled by an Orion Remote Collector, UnDPs are not assigned

When you add a node for monitoring by the Orion Platform, specify an Orion Remote Collector (ORC) as the polling engine and assign Universal Device Pollers (UnDPs) to the node, the UnDPs are not assigned. Use an alternative method to assign the UnDPs to the node.

Overview

When you use the Add Node wizard to add a node, select an Orion Remote Collector (ORC) as the polling engine, and select UnDPs on the Add Pollers page, the node is added but the UnDPs are not assigned.
Note: The ORC feature was introduced in Orion Platform 2020.2.1 and requires NAM 2020.2.1.

Cause

The issue is caused by the incorrectly calculated availability of UnDPs on the node.

Resolution

To work around the issue:

Start the Universal Device Poller tool, right-click the poller and click Assign. Select the node you want to poll the poller on. See Select Orion Platform nodes or interfaces to poll a custom statistic.
In the Orion Web Console, go to the Node Details view and click Pollers in the Management widget. Assign the UnDPs to the node.
