Overview

Serv-U File sharing is used to send or request files from a guest user. In some cases, the guest user may encounter the following notification saying, "File sharing is not allowed by this server" when accessing the link. Usually, it happens when there are multiple domains configured in Serv-U

Product section

Serv-U Managed File Transfer & Serv-U FTP Server

Cause

Same domain listeners IP and port in other domains.

Resolution

1. Generate the file sharing link, try to access it, then check which domain it goes using domain activity.

2. Check the domain listener configured where File sharing is enabled.

3. Compare the domain listener with the same IP and port.

4. Make sure no domain listener listens on the same IP and port.

5. Disable the domain listener with the same IP and port, not for File sharing or set different IP or port.
