What SolarWinds product can be utilized as stand-alone modules.

This article briefly discusses the ability to utilize Orion Modules as stand-alone modules on separate servers.

Overview

If wanting to separate your Orion Modules on to separate servers, this can be accomplished prior to integrating Orion modules. This excludes bundled products such as NAM or NOM as these products include Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA). NTA requires NPM.

Cause

You can not have a Primary Orion server with for instance NPM and NCM, then install another NCM only poller, meaning you can not install modules separately after they are integrated.

Resolution

We don't maintain a listing of products that can be stand-alone.
All SolarWinds products can be installed as stand-alone except NTA. NTA requires NPM.
