Website address mismatch when modifying scheduled reports

This article provides steps on how to resolve the website address mismatch error. Website address in browser (xxx) is different from the one which was set up by Configuration wizard. This may lead to receiving Login page instead of Report.

Overview

This article describes a resolution to the following Warning, you may see when editing schedule of any scheduled report in Orion Web console.

Website address in browser(xxx) is different from the one which was set up by Configuration Wizard.
This may lead to receiving Login page instead of Report.

Cause

During Orion Config Wizard a different name was selected then what the cert was issued for and binded to in IIS

Resolution

  1. Back up the Orion database.
  2. RDP to the Orion Server.
  3. Stop Orion Module engine via Orion Service Manager
  4. Open the Database Manager.
  5. Click Add default server or locate the server where Orion Database is located.
  6. Expand SolarwindsOrion Database.
  7. Locate and double-click the websites table.
  8. Click Execute query.
  9. Click Enable Table Editing on the top.
  10. In the FQDN column add the Orion Server's FQDN to and make sure the NetBIOS hostname is the same in ServerName Column. Do this for Additional web servers if you have one there.
  11. Reset IIS by opening the command prompt as administrator >  iisreset and then press enter.
  12. Click Start Orion Module Engine via Orion Service Manager.
  13. If the issue persists, confirm that you can ping the FQDN from the server the reports are generated on.  If you can not then add a hostfile entry on "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts"

To check the hostname in NetBIOS, use the following CMD command:
