Overview
Web Help Desk may have poor contrast after upgrading to version 2026.2, or ticket text, topic text, or other page content may appear greyed out. The issue is associated with dark theme usage, and the behavior is reproducible across multiple Web Help Desk pages in 2026.2 when browser dark mode is enabled. Pages display as expected in light mode.

Cause
This issue is caused by a Web Help Desk UI rendering problem in dark mode. When a browser dark theme or dark mode setting is applied, the text color does not render with enough contrast against the page background, which makes the content appear faded or unreadable.
Resolution
A fix for this issue is planned for a future release of WHD.
Workarounds:
-
Change the browser or application theme from Dark to Light.
In Chrome/Firefox, go to Settings > Appearance > Theme, then switch to light mode.
-
Disable any browser-enforced dark mode setting or dark mode browser extension for the Web Help Desk site, then reload the page.
-
Have affected users sign out and sign back in after changing the theme to ensure the updated rendering is applied (optional).
