Cause
Website bindings on the standby server before the failover does not include the virtual IP address of HA Pool.
Resolution
Ensure that both active and standby servers have their website bindings configured to 'All Unassigned'
- Open IIS manager(inetmgr), then navigate to the NetPerfMon website
- Right-click on the NetPerfMon website then hit Edit Bindings...
- Highlight the existing binding, then click Edit...
- Set the IP address to 'All Unassigned', then hit OK to commit the changes
If the bindings are correct,
- Verify Websites, Engines table entries and remove any duplicates that should not be there.
- Verify IIS certs if using SSL cert and ensure the cert bound is trusted
- Verify VIP is transferred to the new member that you want to be active.
- If using Virtual Hostname ( VHN) ensure DNS settings are valid and DNS service is not experiencing any issues and DNS cache is updating quickly refer to Required DNS Permissions to set up a High Availability Pool and access Microsoft DNS
