Overview

This article provides a resolution for the issue in which WPM Remote Player cannot connect to the WPM Server a generates the following error:

Communication Error: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send

Cause

TLS 1.0 and 1.1 is disabled.

Resolution

Download TLS Checker Tool (IIS Crypto GUI)
https://www.nartac.com/Products/IISCrypto/Download (© 2018 Nartac Software, available at https://www.nartac.com, obtained on November 28, 2018).
Enable TLS 1.0 and 1.1.
Reboot the Remote Player Server.
