Resolution

  1. Login to Web Console > Settings (upper right hand) > Node & Group Management > Manage Node.
  2. On the search box type the server involved, click Search.
  3. Expand the plus button beside the node.
    You will see listed the Volume L drive >> right click and open a new tab.
  4. On the new tab > look on the URL > you will see like V: (then a number which is the Volume ID). > Take note of that number for the Drive L.
  5. Go to Settings > Alerts & Reports > Manage Alerts.
  6. Click Add New Alert.
  7. On the 1st tab, Properties > put the name of the alert and description > click Next.
  8. On the 2nd tab, Trigger Condition Tab > “I want to alert on: VOLUME” > and on the actual Trigger Condition:

    All child condition must be satisfied (AND):

                Volume: Volume ID is equal to (number of the Drive L)

                Volume: Percent Used is equal to (the percentage you want that it will start alert).

  9. Click Next.
  10. Reset Condition >> select Create a Special Reset Condition for this alert >> Add condition >> Create new condition.
  11. Do the reverse of the Trigger Condition. This is will notify you when everything is back to normal base on the value you will put.
  12. Or you can just put this Reset condition tab on the 1st selection >> Reset this alert when the trigger condition is no longer true.
  13. Click Next when you are done.
  14. Leave Time of day at default.
  15. Trigger Actions > Select the action you want to be alerted. Most common is Send Email/Page.
    The information should be straight forward.
  16. Reset Action > is the same action what the Trigger Action will send > so if you have selected Send Email/Page > you have to select the same action.
    Note: Make sure the title of the email reset action will be different on the Trigger alert action.
  17. Summary > should display all settings.
  18. Submit to save.
