Viewing and reporting audit events in the SolarWinds Platform
This article explains how to view and report on audit events. When audit trails are enabled, the SolarWinds Platform keeps a record of actions taken by web console users. It allows you to keep track of which users are making changes to your network monitoring profile.

Overview
Changes can be made inside your network monitoring profile by users who has access and the proper rights granted to them. This article tackles how to view and report on audit events. When audit trails are enabled, the SolarWinds Platform keeps a record of actions taken by Web Console users. This allows you to keep track of which users are making changes to your network monitoring profile.
IMPORTANT: You must have administrator access to view and report on audit events.

Audit events can be viewed in the following ways:
- Message Center: Visit the Message Center in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console. The 'Show Audit Events' checkbox must be checked.
- Reports: The report 'Last 100 Audit Events' is available by default. You can also create a web report to gather audit events. (as described in Create an account activity report for Orion Web Console users )
IPAM related activities will not be in the Auditing Events but would be under IPAM Events
Note: Audit events may display sensitive information and require Admin privileges in the SolarWinds Platform. Non-admin users do not have access to view or collect audit event reports.
