Overview
When viewing the VCenter details page, polling fails with the error "Server certificate is invalid", even though the certificate on the VCenter itself is valid.

Incorrect Remote Certificate Validation settings.
Resolution

Access the SolarWinds Web Console.

Navigate to the Advanced Global Settings page:
http://<ip_address>/orion/admin/advancedConfiguration/Global.aspx -
Search for SolarWinds.Orion.RemoteCertificateValidation.

Ensure the following settings are unticked (disabled):
- CheckOnCertificateChainErrors
- CheckOnCertificateNameMismatch
- CheckOnCertificateRevocation

Save the changes.

Restart SolarWinds services if necessary to apply the changes.
