Resolution
As a workaround, you can download and execute a customized sql script (included in this article) on the VMAN appliance, which will restore the default VMAN dashboards. Note that this will not restore any custom dashboards.
Here are the steps to apply the workaround solution:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Download the psql script,
update_dashboards.sql.
- Transfer the script to the VMAN virtual appliance's
/tmpfolder (use winscp or any tool or method that you prefer to transfer the file).
- Connect to the VMAN virtual appliance through SSH (use putty or any SSH connection tool).
- Run the following command to elevate the permission level to root:
sudo su - root
- Run the following command to apply the script:
psql -d hyper9db -U h9pgsu -f /tmp/update_dashboards.sql
Note: the 'update_dashboards.sql' script file must be in the /tmp folder.
- Run the following command to restart the tomcat service:
service tomcat restart
- Log in to the VMAN appliance web console to verify that the dashboards have been restored and are in the dashboard list.
