VMAN ESXi hosts polled with host name and IP

Listed hosts in Virtualization summary are polled with IP and hostname.

Overview

In the Virtualization Summary view, ESXi hosts are nested with hostname under the correct vCenter, but they are also detected with IP address and do not have assigned vCenter.
Vendor and/or Machine Type is Unknown for some virtual entities.

Resolution

To resolve this issue please follow these steps:

Open Orion Web Console
Navigate to:
1. In case HTTP: http://{YOUR_ORION_SERVER}/Orion/Admin/AdvancedConfiguration/global.aspx
2. In case HTTPS: https://{YOUR_ORION_SERVER}/Orion/Admin/AdvancedConfiguration/global.aspx
Locate the following setting: MatchVMWareHostsOnBiosID and make sure it is checked.
Click SAVE button.

Let the environment run for two or three polling intervals and if the issue is still present please contact SolarWinds Technical Support.
