ARM The Right SQL DB connection setting during initial setup

How to configure DB connection string details to setup ARM DB for first-time users.

Overview

Most first time users of ARM might come across some errors during DB config/setup after installation of ARM. This article will try to minimize these errors and use the correct config where possible.

Cause

Incorrect SQL connection settings

Resolution

If using Local SQL Server with default instance, the installer should pick up the settings and populate it automatically.
If using Remote SQL Server with Default Instance, then you only need to enter the SQL DB hostname and leave Instance name blank.
If using Remote SQL Server with Named Instance then you have to enter the DB Hostname, Instance Name values
