Users are not logged off when using the Log Off User Action in SEM

When using the Log Off User Action in SEM, the user will not be logged off from the session unless USB Defender is installed and the installer was installed using Run as Administrator.

Overview

When using the Log Off User Action in Security Event Manager (formerly Log & Event Manager), the user is not logged off from the session unless USB Defender is installed using Run as Administrator.

Cause

USB Defender is not installed or you did not select Run as Administrator to install the product.

Resolution

Re-install the Agent

Uninstall the currently-installed Agent software.
Right click setup.exe and select Run as Administrator.
On the USB Defender screen check the box for USB Defender.

NOTE: The Log Off User action won't work as intended without USB Defender installed.
