Resolution

  1. Download and install PuTTY from its website if you don't already have it installed.
  2. Open a new session to the SEM appliance's IP address or hostname on port 37890, 37891, and then 37892.
    • If the Server unexpectedly closed network connection error appears, the port is open, and there are no communication or connection issues.

    • If the Network error: Connection refused error appears, the port is not open, an incorrect port was used, or there is a firewall issue between the SEM agent and the appliance.

For further troubleshooting, see the agent logs located in C:\Windows\Syswo64\ContegoSPOP\spoplog.txt.
