Changes on server's volume free space do not reflect in the SolarWinds Platform web console immediately

This article discusses about a behavior in volume monitoring when a free space on the server is not reflected immediately in the web console.

Overview

When monitoring volume objects in the SolarWinds Platform, you may notice situations where a volume that was updated/changed on the server directly will not reflect in the web console immediately.

Cause

By default, volume changes/updates will reflect in the web console no later than 15 minutes.

Resolution

Wait for a maximum of 15 minutes for the change\update to reflect

NOTE: If the volume free space is still not updated after 15 minutes, troubleshoot with the help of the article: Using WBEMTest to verify volume size and free space.
