Unmanaged nodes show up as Undefined in Hardware Health

Node shows up as Undefined in Hardware Health when it is unmanaged. Undefined node when unmanaged. Network Performance Monitor (NPM) 11.5.

Unmanaged nodes, whose last Hardware Health state is Undefined, show up in the Hardware Health Overview.

Cause

  • When a node is Unmanaged, all Hardware Health resources show the last polled values.
  • If the last polled Hardware status is Undefined, it will show up in Hardware Health as Undefined:

In the following example, when a customer clicks Undefined, 10 unmanaged nodes display:

 

Resolution

If you do not want to display Hardware Health data for unmanaged nodes, go to the List Resources or Manage Pollers page and disable the Hardware Health poller.
