Cause

This can occur when setting up the precompiled website. Deleting these temp files forces it to rebuild.

Resolution

  • Try to restart services from SolarWinds Platform Service Manager

If not resolved, please follow below steps:

  1. Save a copy of the original temporary ASP.NET files to your local drive as a backup file.
  2. Open a Run box.
  3. Open Services (services.msc).
  4. Stop the SolarWinds Information Service (SWIS) and the World Wide Web Publishing Service (if Orion is the only website running on the server). You can also open a command prompt and run IISRESET /stop.
  5. Delete all files and subfolders from the following location: c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\
  6. Restart SWIS and World Wide Web Publishing Service.
  7. Go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Platform.
  8. Run the Configuration Wizard.

If the issue is not resolved, perform a rebuild of the SolarWinds Web Console.
