Unexpected SQL Error. Connection Timeout Expired in Orion Modules
The following error occurs when Orion is trying to connect to SQL. Unexpected SQL Error. Connection Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed while attempting to consume the pre-login handshake acknowledgement. This could be because the pre-login handshake failed or the server was unable to respond back in time. The duration spent while attempting to connect to this server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=3; handshake=20006;

Resolution
- Open Database Manager and click Add default server.
If the same error message appears, the connection to SQL needs to be fixed. - Use telnet to verify if port 1433 is open.
- If it still does not connect, verify if there is something that is blocking the server from establishing a connection to the SQL server.
Resolution #2:
- Run the configuration wizard again
- Select all 3 choices, database/website/services
Resolution #3:
- Apply Tweaking Windows Server performance to prevent port exhaustion when using Orion modules
- A reboot of the Orion server, you may also need to reboot the SQL server.
