This article provides steps to unblock your files before downloading a software for new installation, upgrades and migration, or installing a hotfix.

Resolution

1. Right-click on the .exe and select Properties.

2. Click Unblock. When you click the Unblock button, it removes the Zone Identifier information.

Note:

This should help guarantee that when it runs, no underlying files are blocked such as DLLs.
If you need to troubleshoot blocked files, it is recommended to use MS Sysinternals Streams tool.
