Unable to uninstall Toolset Evaluation product version

This article discusses an issue where users are unable to uninstall a copy of the Engineers Toolset Evaluation version using the control panel or any other method.

Cause

A custom action defined in the uninstaller checks to see what version of .Net is installed. This caused the uninstaller to roll back the operation and Engineers' Toolset remained on the system.

Resolution

Reboot the server.
Log in as a local administrator.
Download and run MS uninstall utility Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed (© 2016 Microsoft, available at https://support.microsoft.com, obtained on November 29, 2016).
Uninstall 'Toolset on the Web' using the MS Uninstall.

Note: This is not in the Add or Remove program in Control Panel.
Rerun the Configuration Wizard as an administrator.
