Login to the Kiwi Syslog Server NG administration interface is failing with an "invalid_client" error

The “invalid_client” error occurs when the Kiwi authentication interface is unable to validate against its internal identity service, typically due to configuration corruption or mismatch. This condition is often observed after installation/repair operations, disk full events, Windows account modifications, or manual file replacements.

This issue is likely caused by corruption of required system files.

Perform a clean reinstallation to eliminate any potentially corrupted files. During the uninstallation process, please select the option to delete all saved settings to ensure a complete clean reinstall.

Before proceeding with the uninstall, ensure that you back up all saved log files. By default, logs are stored in the following directory:
\ProgramData\SolarWinds\KiwiSyslogService\Logs\Logs

If you are using a custom storage location, you may need to manually locate the logs on the Windows server, as we do not have visibility into or control over custom file paths.

Please note that previously saved logs cannot be imported into the new installation. The reinstalled system will begin collecting new logs moving forward.

If you would like to retain historical syslog messages, you can manually copy the old syslog log files into the new Log to File action folder path. However, these copied messages will not be displayed in the Syslog Server console. This process only preserves the archived log files on the new server.

Additionally, if you choose to delete saved settings during uninstallation, Kiwi NG will remove all stored configurations. You will need to reconfigure your rules and settings after reinstalling.

Performing these steps ensures a clean reinstallation by removing any corrupted or conflicting configurations that could cause further issues.
