Unable to load the old .IPDB file in IP Address Management tool after upgrading to ETS Desktop 2026.1

The issue involves an error when attempting to open `.ipdb` files n IP Address Management tool of ETS Desktop 2026.1 after upgrading from an older version.

Overview

When opening an old .IPDB in file that was generated in a previous version (e.g., 2025.2) in the IP Address Management tool after upgrading to ETS Desktop 2026.1, it will return the error :

"Invalid Database The selected file is not a valid IP Address Management database: file is not a database file is not a database Please select a valid .ipdb or .db file."

Cause

This has been identified as a known issue in ETS 2026.1.

Resolution

Workaround:

Use an older VB6 utility called Deprecated_IP-Address-Management, which is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Toolset.
