Unable to edit IP address in IPAM

Overview

User accounts with Admin, Power User, and Operator rights can modify subnets and IP addresses. This article describes how to verify the permissions set to enable editing IP address details in IPAM.

Cause

If the user account in IPAM has limited permissions, the account will be unable to edit IP address details.

Resolution

If the user needs to be able to edit IP address details, you need to increase the user's role:

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console with an admin account. 
  2. Click Settings > All Settings.
  3. Scroll down to User Accounts, and click Manage Accounts.
  4. Select the user and click Edit.
  5. On the Edit User Account page, scroll down and expand the IP Address Manager Settings section.
  6. In IPAM Roles & Permissions, select a role higher than Read-Only.
  7. Click Submit.
The selected user can now edit IP address details in IPAM.
