Unable to delete interface from the web console

When the interfaces are selected and delete is clicked an internal server error is seen.

Overview

The following error is seen on the web console and the selected interfaces are not deleted.



The OrionWeb.log reports the following error:

ERROR SolarWinds.Orion.Web.InformationService.InformationServiceProxy - (null) Invalid username or password.

System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[SolarWinds.InformationService.Contract2.InfoServiceFaultContract]: Invalid username or password. (Fault Detail is equal to InfoServiceFaultContract [ SolarWinds.Data.AccessDeniedException: Invalid username or password. ] ).

WARN SolarWinds.InformationService.Contract2.InfoServiceProxy - (null) Support! -- LONG RUNNING DELETE: 140192.4873 ms: swis://{hostname}/Orion/Orion.Nodes/NodeID={nodeid}/Interfaces/InterfaceID={intefaceid}

ERROR NodeManagement - (null) Error trying to delete swis uri 'swis://{hostname}/Orion/Orion.Nodes/NodeID={nodeid}/Interfaces/InterfaceID={intefaceid}'. Falling back to obsolete business layer method.

Stale swis pub/sub references

Resolution

  1. RDP to Main Poller
  2. Stop all SolarWinds Platform Services using the SolarWinds Platform Service Manager (Default location: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\StopNetPerfMon.exe)
  3. Contact Technical Support line to assist you with clearing the subscription to help fix the issue.
  4. Run the Database Maintenance (Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Database-Maint.exe)
  5. After the Database Maintenance has finished start all services using the SolarWinds Platform Service Manager (Default location: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\StopNetPerfMon.exe)
