Unmanage/Manage volumes keeps on generating event in Solarwinds

Volume Unmanaged/Manage is implemented only in 2020.2 as a new feature, the previous version has no such ability

Overview

The customer reported that they keep receiving Volume unmanaged/manage events. This occurs when they unmanaged/manage the nodes.

Cause

It is confirmed as normal behavior.

Resolution

To disable the Volumes event

a. Stop all Orion services using Orion service manager
b. Go to Start > Solarwinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager
c. Click Add Server (add the Orion Server)
d. Login using your SQL Orion account
e. Expand your SolarWindsOrion Database and look for EventTypes table
f. Look for EventType 220 and 221
g. Click "Enable table editing"
h. Set MUTE to TRUE and Record to FALSE
