URL Links in Modern Dashboards on EOC do not navigate to the Polling Engines in 2024.4 and 2025.1

Modern Dashboard links in EOC are navigating to the EOC server rather than the expected polling engine.

Overview

Steps to replicate on 2024.4.1 and 2025.1

  1. In EOC, create a new Table Widget on a Modern Dashboard

  2. Use the graphical query builder to create a new model with Details URL:

  1. Create link for Caption

  1. Save widget

When clicking the link, the page will show an error. The page is trying to load Node Details from EOC IP, rather than the local MPE.

Expected Outcome:

The page should load URL using the Site URL for the MPE that the Node is monitored from.

Cause

Known issue in EOC 2024.4 and 2025.1.

Resolution

As a workaround, follow the steps below:

  1. Create the model using the graphical query builder and save the model
  2. Select the Hand-edit a SWQL query option. This will display the SWQL query that is generated after using the graphical query builder.
  3. Click Edit to modify the SWQL query.
  4. Add 'n.OrionSite.Website + n.DetailsUrl as [URL]' to the end of the Select statement, before the FROM. 

This will include a properly formatted URL that directs you to the MPE from which the node is monitored.
