Prerequisites


All contracts are governed by the End User License Agreement.  The  EULA prohibits the transferring of licenses from one company to another.   http://www.solarwinds.com/eula.aspx


However, we may consider a transfer of the applicable license(s) pending further information.  We need to determine the connection between the companies and the reason for the transfer of the licenses from one company to another.

 

Steps 

  • Contact Customer Service at http://www.solarwinds.com/company/contact.aspx
     
  • Provide as much information as you can regarding the reason you wish to transfer license, such as:
    • Are you a Managed Service Provider (MSP) / Reseller or both and wish to transfer the license to the end user?
    • How long is your contract as MSP with the End User?  Can you provide proof of this contract
    • Who purchased the license originally?  Can you provide proof of purchase - a PO or Invoice?
    • Are you the End User that previously used a Managed Service Provider and wish to take the licenses back in house?

Note:

Authorization from both parties is required.  Further review by our Legal department for clarification will also be required, so the more initial information you can provide, the better we can assist you more efficiently.
