Thin Access Point Alert in Orion Platform

Overview

The Out-of-the-box Alert Name: Thin AP down is only for Status down alerts. What if the status is aside from down?

Resolution

  • Go to ALERTS & ACTIVITY > Alerts > Manage Alerts

  1. Search for Thin AP
  2. Select the Out-of-the-box Alert Name: Thin AP down and click on the DUPLICATE & EDIT button
  3. For the Trigger Condition, edit the Status to is not equal to UP
This will ensure the following Status will be triggered:
  • Unknown
  • Down
  • Disassociated
  • Disappeared
*If incase the Disappeared trigger condition is not working you have to do the following steps
- Access Orion Advanced Configuration
- Uncheck RemoveDisappearedAPs
