The swdebugMaintenance.log file contains only a header in the Orion Platform

The swdebugMaintenance.log sometimes has only header information and no other, not even a completion message and it doesn't appear that the job is running.

Overview

The swdebugMaintenance.log file, which is created from the nightly database maintenance, generally has date and time stamps with defaults and information about the job, as well as the statement of the job completing. However, sometimes you might find a file that has only heading information and no other, not even a completion message

The LogAdjuster influences the level of logging that is in the swdebugMaintenance.log. The setting in LogAdjuster can be found in Orion, Database Maintenance.  The default level is INFO.

You can open Log adjuster, from the Windows Start Menu> Solarwind Orion> Log Adjuster
And once is open search for: Database Maintenance

And set for the default vault to INFO
INFO Value will display:
     - INFO messages
     - WARN messages
     - ERROR messages

Adding the INFO setting, it will help as well that Deployment Health under Orion Web Console will read information on the log, and present Errors.

Additional actions could be:
The next automatic Database Maintenance, or by running a Manual Database Maintenance it will generate a new log with the details for Warnings, Information and Error messages, if are presented.

Your file might look similar to the following without a completion message. (The ERROR messages are harmless and can be ignored.)

The above listing is normal for ERROR level setting.  Notice there is no message saying the job has completed.

The WARN level also does not produce the message saying the job has completed.

The INFO and the DEBUG levels will show the message that the Database Maintenance is complete. (Only INFO level messages are displayed if the logging level is INFO.)
