Cause

Orion designates a node as a stackable switch based on the following OIDs:
cswRingRedundant (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.500.1.1.3) and cswSwitchNumCurrent (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.500.1.2.1.1.1), however, it does not return any value in case the device is not sending two entries/values for OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.500.1.2.1.1.7.

Resolution

Resolution1:

  1. Open the Orion Web Console, and then go to Settings > All Settings > Manager Pollers.
  2. Search and disable the Switch Stack poller on the device where the error is displayed.

Resolution 2:

We show this message when less than 2 members are reported from the device.
1. Get a SNMPwalk of the node
2. Check the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.500.1.2.1.1.7
Make sure that there are two or more entries for this OID

If only 1 entry for this OID is returned, that means the device is not stacked.
