Overview

The following error message appears when testing a SAM component:
The Communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state.

Resolution

Warning:

Consult your System Administrator before performing the following procedure.
Save a copy of the original ucdat1.xml file to your local drive as a backup file, in case you need to roll back later.

Note:Perform the following steps on the Primary and Additional Poller managing the node for the application that is returning the error message to resolve the issue:

Go to c:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\JobEngine.
Delete the ucdat1.xml file.
Run Configuration Wizard on the primary poller and then on the additional poller - Run the Orion Configuration Wizard
