The All Groups widget (new dashboards) does not work with custom properties with underscore

This article describes an issue when trying to configure the all groups drill down widget with a custom property that uses underscore (_) and what actions to take.

Overview

• Reproduction Steps -
1) Logon to website -> All Settings -> Manage Custom Properties

2) Create node custom property using underscore (_) in Name

3) Add custom property values with nodes

4) All Settings -> Manage Dashboards -> Add Widget -> All Groups Drill Down widget

5) Add node custom property to Level 1

* Widget works when using custom property without an underscore

Cause

This has been identified as a known issue in SolarWinds Platform 2025.4.

Resolution

This issue is addressed in SolarWinds Platform 2026.1. Consider upgrading your environment.
